Great post Abhinav! The Space Race is on.
To draw parallels with the launch of any Next Big Thing, competition is fierce. In the beginning, any tech witnesses such gatekeeping. E.g. Artificial Intelligence. The democratisation of AI services and platforms have a huge role to play in increasing the tech players and turning the AI hype to reality.
Its a matter of time but until then theres understandably a want to be remembered as the first or one of the firsts. Fortunately, there’s plenty of space in Space. Take it easy folks!

Great article Abhinav,

I agree with you that sharing resources and research will make space tourism and interplanetary travel achievable much faster and looking at the cost of each individual travel and the risk involved, it will mean saving a lot of money for these companies.
But doing so can also create a monopoly by making it hard for new comers. Even if they unite under “planet earth” and presumably open-source all findings, it might still be hard for a small start-up to challenge or compete with them.
All in all, I’m excited about what the future holds for space travel and pray it becomes possible AND affordable in our lifetime.

Hi Rakesh Ji,
Thank you for taking out the time to read my post.
I am sorry to hear about the hardships you have faced and yes, I was too worried to be hospitalized as I knew that it will mean fewer chances of being taken care resulting in even lesser chances of survival, especially when it comes to the senior section of the society.
With the trends worldwide, our authorities should have been prepared and done better especially using the experience of the first wave. Now, what I see is more crowdfunded and crowdsourced healthcare that is actually saving lives around.

Thanks for your detailed description of being brave to fight out the Covid virus and you came winner because of your early action immediately after minor symptoms and following the SOP and doctor’s advice and most essential hygiene with senitization
I wouldn’t mention of tragedies of my family which I belive of negligence at hospital and keeping relatives helpless as no proper updates given about happenings with their dear ones

Thank you for your kind comments @Martin Psychological Safety has been a hot topic in corporate world but as I mentioned in my post, it has become a major subject in these starnge times that we are living in. I have talked to many people who left their current jobs and switched just for the sake of not feeling safe in the environment built around them by the organisation in the present context. So, just having good monthly activities does not suffice this, it has to be weather it is okay for you to not attend a meeting or if you can speak up without having fear of being shot down as well.

Great blog post, well researched and highlighting the major points of Psychological Safety, which (I can only imagine, not having heard of the term as such before) is a broad field of research.
In the post you gave me a condensed summary of experiences I made and am encounterin day-to-day), but now I have an “official term” I can file them under. It always helps to know there is kind of a framework you can refer to and seek best practices from.
